The year 2023 has just begun, and with it comes a slew of highly anticipated anime. From new adaptations to popular returning series, fans will have plenty to keep them entertained throughout the year.
While worldwide hit anime such as Spy x Family and Chainsaw Man debuted in 2022, the biggest anime franchises return in 2023.
We’re only 14 days into 2023, and Tokyo Revengers Season 2, Vinland Saga Season 2, By the Grace of the Gods Season 2, BOFURI Season 2, and even In/Spectre Season 2 are already on the air! Do you believe it?
So, in no particular order, here are the ten most anticipated anime of 2023.
1. Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3, the anime’s final chapter, will be released this year. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster so far, and despite the fact that the final season has been split into three parts spread over nearly three years, fans are still eager for the series’ conclusion.
Since its initial release in 2013, the anime, which began as a depiction of humanity’s last stand against giant monstrous titans, has taken many twists and turns, and its finale is set to be the most heartbreaking chapter yet.
2. Solo Leveling

Finally, one of the most popular, if not the most well-known, manhwa is getting an anime adaptation!
Solo Leveling tells the typical story of an underdog protagonist who rose from being the world’s weakest hunter to becoming the world’s strongest; it has a lengthy storyline with intricate lore; and it is an addictive modern retelling of a popular power fantasy subgenre. The premise doesn’t appear to be all that incredible at first glance, but it manages to immerse the reader in the story.
“The Gate” first appeared ten years ago, linking the real world to the realm of magic and monsters. Ordinary people gained superhuman abilities and were dubbed “Hunters” in order to combat these heinous beasts. One such Hunter is Sung Jin-Woo, a twenty-year-old Hunter, but he is known as the “World’s Weakest” due to his pitiful power in comparison to even a meagre E-Rank. Despite this, he hunts monsters in low-rank Gates to help pay his mother’s medical bills.
Jin-Woo awakens three days later in a hospital, believing himself to be the sole survivor of a disastrous mission, to find a mysterious screen floating in front of him. Jin-Woo is required by this “Quest Log” to complete an unrealistic and intense training programme or face a suitable penalty. Jin-Woo is initially hesitant to comply due to the difficulty of the quest, but he soon realises that it may just turn him into one of the world’s most fearsome Hunters.
3. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is eagerly anticipated by fans. The first season of the series was one of the best first seasons in anime history, so everyone is excited for its release.
There is no set release date for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, but it will be released in Summer 2023. For those of you who haven’t seen the first season yet, here’s a synopsis:

His leisurely lifestyle, however, takes an unusual turn when he unknowingly comes into contact with a cursed item. After swallowing the aforementioned item, which turns out to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the “King of Curses,” Yuuji is thrust into the world of Curses—dreadful beings formed from human malice and negativity.
Yuuji witnesses firsthand the threat that these Curses pose to society as he discovers his own newfound abilities. When he is introduced to the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School, he starts down a path he will never be able to return to—the path of a Jujutsu sorcerer.

Taiju awakens several millennia later to find that the modern world has vanished, as nature has flourished in the years that humanity has stood still. Taiju discovers one other living human among the statues: his science-loving friend Senkuu, who has been active for a few months. Taiju discovers Senkuu’s grand plan to resurrect civilization through science. Taiju’s strength and Senkuu’s intelligence combine to form a formidable alliance, and they quickly discover a way to resurrect the petrified.

He wishes to return to his wife, who was the reason he softened and lost his ability to assassinate effectively. As a result, he will not die.
A well-known executioner, Asaemon the Decapitator, notices this and has an idea for the ninja. He wants Gabimaru to join an expedition to an island south of Japan in search of the elixir of life in exchange for a full pardon from the Shogunate. This island, on the other hand, is unique in that it is thought to be Paradise.
