The people of the kingdom look down on the young Prince Bojji, who cannot hear or speak. They make fun of him as “The Useless Prince” and his supposed folly.
Bojji, on the other hand, is not weak in the heart, despite his lack of physical strength. He believes he has found a friend among those who only choose to notice his flaws after a chance encounter with a shadow creature that should have traumatised him. He starts meeting with Kage, the shadow, on a regular basis, and the normally abrasive creature grows fond of him.
The unlikely friendship of Kage and Bojji lays the groundwork for the prince’s journey, one in which he plans to overcome his fears and insecurities. Despite the constant ridicule, Bojji resolves to be the best king he can be.
