The first trailer and release date for the highly anticipated KonoSuba spin-off anime starring Megumin have been released.
The first full trailer for the Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spin-off has arrived, focusing on a pivotal moment in protagonist Megumin’s youth.
The Konosuba: An Amazing World Explosion! The light novel series had three volumes from 2014 to 2015. The sequel series started in 2016, with the second volume coming out in 2019.
The Trailer
Yuujiro Abe (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 1 and Season 2 episode director) directed the anime, which is titled KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! The director, Kanasaki Takaomi, is the chief supervisor. Kouichi Kikuta, the character designer, and Makoto Uezu, the series composer, are also returning from previous KonoSuba anime. The show’s production is overseen by Drive.
Rie Takahashi as Megumin and Aki Toyosaki as Yunyun reprise their roles in the spin-off.
Natsume Akatsuki wrote and Kurone Mishima illustrated Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, which was published between 2013 and 2020 in 17 main volumes and two short story anthologies. It is published by Kadokawa under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko label. Kasumi Morino adapted the manga for the spin-off and its sequel.
