Undead Unluck is getting its very own anime!
Yoshifumi Tozuka’s Undead Unluck manga will be adapted into a TV anime in 2023, according to the 39th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The anime is also said to be produced by David Studios.
Tozuka’s celebratory illustration and a teaser visual were also revealed in the magazine.
The Shueisha-published manga began in 2020, and the 13th tankoubon volume will be released on September 2, 2022. It’s serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and published by Jump Comics.
Undead Unluck is described as follows by Viz Media:
Fuuko longs for a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Her Unluck ability, however, prevents her from doing so. But, just when Fuuko thinks she’s reached rock bottom, Andy literally sweeps her off her feet! Now she’s become Andy’s unwilling test subject as he tries to come up with a way to trigger a stroke of Unluck large enough to kill him permanently. However, Andy’s burial plans are put on hold when the pair discovers that a secret organization is after them.
